Please reach out if you are interested in having me as your postpartum doula, but are afraid you may not be able to afford it. I’m willing to discuss an income-based sliding scale option, scholarships, barter, payment plans, etc.

This visit(s) is to help you with your feeding/lactation goals (however this looks for you). We can work towards those goals in many ways, some of which are by:
Assessing and creating a plan of care for uncomplicated breast/chestfeeding issues (latch, positioning, pumping, back-to-work, etc.)
Assessing effective feeding and milk transfer in uncomplicated breast/chestfeeding situations
Providing anticipatory guidance
Assisting with bottle feeding
Problem solving breast/chestfeeding issues
Instructing parents of preterm or late preterm infants in establishing and maintaining a human milk supply
Counseling for employed breastfeeding mothers/parents regarding selection of a breast pump and maintaining milk supply and breastmilk storage

Please note:
I can troubleshoot and assist with uncomplicated breast/chest/feeding issues. However, if it appears to be beyond my scope as a certified breastfeeding specialist, I will refer you to an IBCLC, or the appropriate provider(s).
It's also important to note that most insurances will pay for lactation support from an IBCLC (which I am not; I am unable to bill insurance).
This option can be a helpful option if you don't have insurance.
I do include unlimited breast/chestfeeding support in my postpartum doula packages (it does not need to be purchased separately).
